we had an excellent stay at howarth house. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and shops. the beds were super comfy, and the room was spotless. the breakfast was the best we’ve had at a hotel, with loads of options. what really stood out was how welcoming the staff were, especially with our dog. it felt like a home away from home.

The decor features a charming eclectic style, with unique touches like a rocking horse in reception and a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout. Location near the high street allows easy access to shops and eateries. The hotel's proximity to Ashton Gardens and the beach offers a great escape for walks.

My single room faced a brick wall and drainpipes, which felt a bit stifled, and the small bathroom left little room to maneuver. Stairs leading to the second floor are steep, making it less ideal for travelers with mobility issues. Soundproofing here isn’t the best. noises from adjacent rooms, particularly bathroom sounds, can be heard.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free parking, wi-fi, and helpful staff who assisted with my elderly parents during my first stay. I always enjoy the lovely breakfast too. Highly recommend calling ahead for special requests!
